WARRIORS OF PAST EXPERIENCE & DETACHMENT
Public speaking is people’s #1 greatest fear. But why are we so scared of it? Is it because we’re afraid to be judged by others or is it because we aren’t passionate about the ideas we’re speaking about? When you get in front of an audience and you’re actually passionate about the idea, the fear vanishes. Your desire to spread knowledge and awareness is felt by the audience, neutralizing the fear of judgement.
CLARITY WARRIOR
The word “quiz” can conjure up images of stressful days in school, or gimmicky Buzzfeed posts your friends have shared. In reality, quizzes are one of the most powerful marketing tools you can use today. People don’t want to be one of a million, or even one in a million. They want to be THE one in a million. In order to do that, you need to really know them. You need to know their language, their habits, and what they really need.
BEN FRANKLIN WARRIOR
Perception is everything in business. You want people to be able to look at you and your brand, and feel a connection. When a customer feels they know you, what you stand for, and even who you are on a personal level, they will want to be loyal to you. It’s often times scary for us to put ourselves out there. As business owners we want to hide behind our business name.
WARRIOR OF INDEPENDENCE
We always hear the story of someone quitting their 9 to 5 job in the corporate world to become an entrepreneur. What happens when an entrepreneur feels a need to shift? What about when they feel their mission is complete, and they want to move on to something else? There isn’t really a name for this entrepreneurial shift that happens. It’s something that many people hesitate about because they worry about their finances, or they worry it’s the wrong time.
WARRIOR OF PEACE OF MIND
There is an interesting thing that happens when it comes to labeling people with their “potential”. Some people think they are reaching their full potential, but if you’re like me you feel like you’re not there yet. When we say someone has a lot of potential that can cause them to stop in their tracks, and think they are already enough. Some people feel like if they make a change in life they’ll lose their potential and be starting over. Others feel like they need to do everything they can to fully reach their potential - yet it’s always just out of reach.
WARRIOR OF DISCIPLINE
Being an entrepreneur can often feel like a life or death situation. You make feel awkward, uncomfortable and nervous. Believe it or not, these are all strengths. To stay on top you need to stay hungry. You need to feel worried your life will sink, because if you become complacent someone else will come along and take over the space. The most important thing to keep in mind is that you don’t have to be the first out of the gate. Just because you aren’t the first person to do something doesn’t mean you have any less of a chance of success.
WARRIOR OF KINDNESS
Many times people try to lead Creative Warriors from the outside. They offer us material bonuses, or things that just aren’t satisfying. Creatives, though, chase purpose and fulfillment. That means we need to start at the heart, start with passions, and work our way from the inside out. Ultimately that means we should be working on our strengths. We should dedicate ourselves to what we are not only good at, but what we love doing. Let other people who are better than us in other areas work on our weaknesses.
SPIRIT WARRIOR
There’s one thing so many of us do in business that hurts us more than helps. That is using our logic brain. Sometimes we need to shift our focus to our intuition and just trust our guts. Our intuition can guide us to the right path in so many ways that our conscious brains wouldn’t normally see.
WARRIOR OF LOVE AND WISDOM
One of the biggest steps we have to take as creatives is working for ourselves, and starting our own business. This can come with its own set of challenges, but it’s nothing to be afraid of. You may think of yourself as a solo worker, but the moment you start working for yourself or step up to a higher position you become a leader. Even if your team is remote, and you have Virtual Assistants or freelancers you’re still a leader.
WARRIOR OF SELF-BELIEF
There’s a big misconception about money. So often we hear that money is the root of all evil. At the end of the day though, we all need it to pay our bills. Money itself is just a thing, and it’s all about how you choose to use that thing. Money itself can’t be evil, because it’s just an idea. When you have money, it allows you more opportunities and freedom. More money means you have more chances to help, give back, and achieve growth.
